The chalet is simply unlike any other chalet you have ever seen before. It’s a triumph of unique contemporary interior design, coupled with traditional chalet elements, which results in the most mind blowing property that you simply won’t want to leave. The property is over 600m2 in size but covers just 2 floors, perfect for those who find large staircases tough, particularly after a long day on the slopes.
From the minute you enter the chalet, prepare to be wowed on every level. The vast open plan living space spans the entire length of the chalet, from the dining area complete with bar area at one end situated over the glass walkway – suspended above the indoor atrium garden, to the lounge area, flanked with vast brown leather sofas in front of the large open fireplace.
Quirky and interesting artefacts and objects d’art are peppered throughout the chalet, both old and new, each unique in style. The lighting in the chalet adds an extra dimension, from the coloured uplighting in the atrium to the full spectrum of rainbow colours above the pool. Pay special attention to the lightshades – a nice touch of vintage meets contemporary.
The action can continue off the slopes thanks to the incredible array of facilities that chalet has on offer. From the vast 32m² swimming pool with infinity waterfall, to the sauna, Hammam and automatic massage tables – there’s no excuse for aching muscles, not to mention the fitness room for those needing that extra bit of a workout!
The seven bedrooms have been cleverly designed to ensure that everyone benefits from natural light. Each has an en-suite bathroom, two with baths, and every bedroom has a TV. Six of the seven bedrooms are on the ground floor and the master has its own access into the wellness area. The chalet has garage parking and the ski room is located in the garage area.

A bunch of friends thrown together by a mutual love of skiing swiftly became a close-knit posse thanks to the wonderful location (amazing views and great accessibility to the lifts and swift free shuttle bus into downtown Val) and perfect marriage of professionalism and friendliness shown by the chalet staff.

February 2, 2020 at 7:48 pmWe stayed at Chalet Alike for a week starting 18th Jan – there were 24 of us – varied ages from 2 upwards! I don’t really know where to start to be honest because every aspect of our stay was perfect! The location was amazing – close enough to lifts for the skiers but also about 20 metres from the shuttle bus into Val d’isere centr which was great for me as a non-skier – we didn’t have to wait once for the bus and it was minutes into centre!
Helpful ReviewThe chalet was spacious and spotlessly clean – the latter attributable to the most amazing chalet staff who worked tirelessly every day to make our stay perfect and nothing was too much trouble! How chef managed to prepare such mouth watering food every day for a party of our size is beyond me – especially with probably four different dietary requirements (& three children!) – she is unbelievable – especially as she had a broken rib during our stay which she didn’t moan about once bless her!
The staff really did make our stay – they were the height of professionalism but also the most friendly we’ve ever encountered once they realised how sociable the group was and that we wanted to include them.
If you’re looking for a simply perfect stay in this area I cannot recommend this place more!
