The property is a beautiful chalet that benefits from a huge open plan living room that combines with a large outdoor wooden deck to create the perfect entertaining space. The interiors are cool and calming and the chalet benefits from a peaceful location in the old village of Le Fornet without compromising on access to the ski area where you can ski back to the door. Groups of 16 find the chalet a delight and with over 350sqm of floor space the chalet has six double/twin bedrooms arranged over five floors and one bedroom has an additional adult-sized bunk-bed that will sleep two more comfortably. Perfect for families or groups of friends.
The chalet is fresh and contemporary and gives an overriding feeling of spaciousness. The property is broken down into two main spaces, one is the main chalet which houses the main living and dining areas and five bedrooms for twelve people. The second is a cool and well designed apartment with two bedrooms and a further bathroom and its only living space.
Beautifully finished inside and out in light grey vanoise stone and mountain larch the two areas blend together well. There are two main entrances, one for the main chalet and one for the apartment and they are just three steps apart, with your complimentary slippers you wont find the transition cumbersome. The main entrance is on the ground level where you will find a heated ski room for the chalet with good storage and boot warmers. Here you will also find 2 covered parking spots, a rarity in the valley, if you require more its a large garage so please just ask.
On entering the main level of the chalet the sheer size of the living and dining space comes into view. With a length of about 20m this space is great for entertaining large groups for cocktail parties or just giving yourself a generous area for your family or group. The chalet has a minimalist feel and the dining table was sourced from Paris and conveys simple clean lines and can accommodate 16 people with the addition of a further table enabling the whole group to eat together. The lounge has a couple of different seating areas in front of a lovely open fire and a iMac work station. Looking out on to the large deck there is a cedar wood hot tub where often mountain ibex or chamois can be seen.
The central wrought iron stairwell leads up to 3 bedrooms on the next floor one contains adult sized reclaimed wood bunks and a walk in wardrobe and bathroom. The other two bedrooms share a large monsoon shower room and toilet. Ascending to the top floor the mountains come more into view and you will find a large master suite with en-suite bathroom and a smaller king or twin en-suite room with a large terrace and west facing view down to the main village.
The apartment is equally well sized and the bedrooms sit neatly together, the extra living space here often works well with families as the children can have their own space to relax and watch movies or play games. The rooms feel on the large size and many contain bathrooms with natural stone sourced from different parts of the country. Also four of the bathrooms contain full sized deep bath tubs which are becoming rarer in the resort as size of chalets are compromised.

Helpful Review16 of us (various ages 3+ to 60!) we had sole occupancy of the chalet, which was of an amazingly high standard. Cleanliness, facilities, the staff…. well…. they were absolutely incredible – nothing was any trouble at all.
The girls had a close bond which made them work amazingly well together. Chalet Geoff is a large building and to accommodate such a large group takes precision & teamwork and these girls were impeccable!
Chef cooked amazing restaurant quality dishes every day and catered to everyone’s individual allergies, likes & dislikes without question (mine in particular)
The skiing is amazing, various difficulties, great routes, miles and miles and miles of perfect slopes!
Check out the ski area.
I can’t thank the girls enough, they were an absolutely dream and really did make our annual ski trip perfect in every way… we’re already re-booking for next year.

August 18, 2019 at 6:51 pmWe have been in Val d’Isère several times, in summer and in winter and this time was really a great pick. The chalet was really comfortable and quiet, the staff has been very kind and helpfull. We could park our cars and enjoy the spa after hiking.
Helpful ReviewWe are very satisfied and will definitly come back at Chalet Geoff!
