Located just over one mile away from Gstaad, the chalet offers a wonderful setting for a cosy Alpine holiday. Rebuilt and redesigned in 2008, the chalet seamlessly blends antique wood and contemporary furniture to create a stylish setting. Set over four levels, the property is ideal for families holidaying together or groups of friends looking for a relaxing mountain hideaway.
The main level of the chalet is dedicated to a cosy living room with picture windows providing a gateway to the inspiring mountain views. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast table seating six, and a more formal dining room seating eight. French windows lead onto a wrap-around terrace, fully-equipped for al fresco dining when the weather is fine.
The chalet has the luxury of a spa with a heated pool (6m x 2m), sauna and relaxation area. The property is able to accommodate up to ten guests across five stylish bedrooms. Each bedroom has pine shiplap walls, hardwood floors and wonderful vaulted ceilings. On the upper level are three king-size suites, sharing two bathrooms between them.

June 27, 2023 at 9:04 amA luxurious Chalet with many bedrooms, some exquisitely decorated with great views, that could easily accommodate my family and friends for a glorious Summer vacation. The first visit we were there for 3 weeks, this month I could only spend 2 weeks there but we all had such fun. There is such a lot to do in this area. The facilities are great, the private pool and Jacuzzi and the garden all provide plenty of activity for all ages. The kitchen is well provided with ample crockery and cutlery, This is an extremely comfortable and relaxing home , perfect for holidaying….don’t all rush to book Chalet Mattia, please, leave space for my next visit, because God willing, there will be one!

January 21, 2023 at 4:51 pmWe had a fabulous ski holiday. We were with two families with in total 14 people. The chalet is wonderful, homely, very warm and comfortable with log fire and fabulous views. Although we come already since years (8!) it is each time again a great experience to first take a sauna right after skiing and then go in the jaccuzzi outside in the snow watching the sunset with a glass of wine in your hand. I love the combination of old character with modern comfort. The bedrooms are spacious and practical and although we were with a big group we still all had our privacy. We are not sure if we go skiing next year, however if we go we book definitely again.

January 28, 2021 at 8:34 pmThis is the second time that we stay at Chalet Mattia and is amazing. We were 10 persons and the space was perfect, we can cook and have a dinner all together, sit all together at the living room with the fireplace. Perfect to enjoy with the family or friends.
The Chalet is very comfortable, the views are amazing like a postcard and the sauna is one of the best for us.
chlets were extremely helpful and accommodating, we couldn’t thank them both enough! Great Chalet and experience, 100% recommendable! And Gstaad is simply the best,

December 27, 2019 at 11:19 pmJust had an extended stay at Chalet Mattia and as very sad to leave. Being just out of town was perfect for us with young children. Each day before and after skiing they kept themselves entertained playing in the snow in isolation from others. The Chalet is fully equipped with everything you need and Viktoria was great to deal with. Can’t wait to go back.
