This exclusive chalet is in the Hameau de la Morraz – a unique community of six contemporary chalets in landscaped grounds just 2km from the centre of La Clusaz.
The chalet commands stunning views over La Balme and the pistes of La Clusaz. Combining the best of contemporary design with traditional materials, it was built using Aravis stone and reclaimed wood.
Whether you are looking for a winter base, from which you can ski the 220km of Aravis pistes, or a summer retreat for mountain sports such as hiking, climbing and mountain biking, you couldn’t make a better choice. There is plenty of space for two families or a group of friends, and guests with limited mobility are well catered for with a lift connecting the three floors.
Set over three floors, this stunning ski lodge has everything you need for a very special holiday.
Enter on the first floor, where you’ll find three beautiful en suite double bedrooms, one of which has a single bunk above the double bed. All of the bedrooms have access to the terrace – the perfect place for that morning cuppa. This floor is also where you’ll find the cinema room, complete with big screen and reclining sofas.
Stairs lead down from here to the double garage and the spacious ski room, which has a boot warmer and room to dry your kit, or up to the large open plan living area. Here there is a well-equipped modern kitchen and a spacious dining area with an extending table, where everyone can enjoy a meal together at the end of the day.
After dinner, read or relax with friends on the glass mezzanine floor, which is furnished with large floor cushions, or on the cosy sofas around the modern fireplace. On clear nights, take a glass of wine on to the south-facing terrace where you can enjoy a jacuzzi as the sun sets over the Aravis mountains. There’s another double en suite bedroom on this floor, but all the floors are connected by a lift, making it suitable for guests with limited mobility.

It was close to all the attractions and activities of La Clusa, its small but welcoming town centre and a number of bars and restaurants. The room we were staying in was not huge, but large enough for us to feel comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and we took advantage of the view of the mountains from the chalet’s balcony every morning at breakfast.

The chalet was short of nothing, lovely and warm and very comfortable. L Clusaz was brilliant for family skiing as we’re were all beginners. We would recommend this chalet to anyone.

January 7, 2019 at 4:10 pmI stayed just after Christmas and was immediately impressed with the location and the fresh and modern house.
The weather was great and we had alot of options where to ski every day.
There is a great fire place where we spent most nights playing games and drinking the local wine. And when we did go out, we walked to some great restaurants and bars.
We stayed with about 8 friends and the house was spacious enough for us to have our own bathroom.
I hope to come back again at Chalet Raina and get better at skiing.
